New Patient Visits
Telemedicine visits for new patients can take up to 1½ hours. Please read the How To Report Symptoms page. Use the patient portal to send ahead of time copies of recent laboratory work and other relevant medical reports as well as a list of all medications and supplements.
The fees are listed on the Book Your Appointment page. Three business days notice is required to cancel a new patient visit
Dr. Masiello’s practice is a telemedicine based, so patients are urged to maintain contact with conventional physicians for emergencies requiring hospitalizations, specialty consultation, surgery, diagnostic testing, gynecological services and routine cancer screening. Although homeopathy has been around for over 200 years, it is now considered to be alternative or non-conventional. Voice mail messages can be left 24 hours a day and he is available to established patients with urgent medical problems by cell phone.
Health Insurance
Dr. Masiello is not enrolled in private insurance networks. The practice is open to standard Medicare patients but not to Medicare Advantage HMO patients. Some Medicare Advantage PPO plans may reimburse some of your fees. Please contact your plan for more information on out of network coverage. Dr. Masiello does not accept Medicaid patients. Please note that some services provided by Dr. Masiello such as homeopathy are not covered by Medicare or private insurance plans and the patient is required to pay for those services at their office visit. Dr. Masiello does not provide documentation for patients on disability.
Billing
Medicare claims will be submitted on your behalf electronically. Non-Medicare patients will receive a superbill with codes that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. If you do not have insurance, you will be given a receipt for tax purposes without insurance codes.
Payment
Only credit cards or debit cards are accepted for payment. When you schedule your appointment, your card will be charged the full fee for that visit type. Patients are responsible for charges even if their deductible has not been met. There is no charge for a single dose of a remedy (pellets) mailed to you.
Cancelled or Missed Appointments
As a courtesy, electronic reminders are sent out 3 days before and again 24 hours before your appointment. Please select among the following options: confirm, cancel or reschedule. Cancellations must be made 3 days before your appointed time for a first time visit to avoid a missed office visit fee. Cancellations must be made 24 hours before your follow up visit to avoid a missed office visit fee.
