Affordable Healthcare

Today is the first day that Americans can go to their computers and check out their state health exchanges for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare). Personally and professionally I do not know if this solves any of our problems but politics aside, I think people should check it out an see if it actually is affordable for them and their families. The address of the website you’ll need is: https://www.healthcare.gov/. Make sure you select your state from the menu before you begin your research. There are several programs and cost levels with corresponding levels of benefits. If you are interested in alternative/holistic medical care then be sure to chose a plan that will allow you to see any doctor you choose. Avoid networked plans, preferred provider plans and plans run by hospitals because your choice of doctors will be limited. Carefully review the costs, the deductibles and the services that are covered and match them to your needs. Enrollment starts today, October 1st; coverage begins January 1, 2014 and open enrollment closes March 31, 2014. Good luck and good health!
